I started blogging again and chose blogger because I was used to the way it works, but I'm now a co-blogger at Innocent Bystanders and I like the wordpress system they use better so I've decided to start posting my regular blog there at wordpress as well.

That didn't take long
“Racism is alive and well in Oklahoma,” Collins said.
McElderry said, “I think you have a lot of people registered as Democrats, but they don't vote that way. They're more tea party than anything.”
When Obama only carried 57% of the vote I told my friends that I was shocked that 43% of Oklahoma Democrats must be racist since that's the only way they can explain people disagreeing with his awesome leadership. Instead they blame racism (is there anything it can't do?) and the Tea Party because we all know that most Tea Party members are really double secret Democrats or something.
They got some shots in at his enemies too. You know them. The people that work, people that believe in God and people that believe the 2nd Amendement gurantees a right, not a privilidge.
Obama had his worst showing in Boren's district, the only one in Oklahoma represented by a Democrat. Boren said he didn't think light turnout was the main problem for Obama in his district. It was more cultural, he said, since the electorate in his southeastern Oklahoma district is generally blue-collar, pro-gun and religious.
Yet, they still vote Democrat.

The Al Gore quote
So here I am again. I had a previous blog that had a fairly regular following for a couple of years, but life was getting in the way and I found myself losing interest in keeping up with it. I eventually decided to just flat out delete the old one, something I regret now. The funny part is that I can't get the original name back because it's already assigned to me as a deleted blog.
I decided that if I was going to start blogging again I should put the same Al Gore quote under my name that I sported for a couple of years. The funny part is that it's not that easy to find now on the internet without some obvious modifications. No doubt somebody thought they'd "help" Al Gore out by explaining what he really meant with more detail like mentioning Bush in the rewrite and also putting quotes around "undermining support for our troops". The original quote is from a speech, there's no mention of Bush or quotes around the troops comment, but it certainly changed the content. I suppose clarity might be why "Bush" was added, but adding imaginary quotes around the troop content was simply a way of buffering the actual attacks by the media on our military forces. He never claimed the reporters and editors were in fact not undermining support for the troops. That's why the line is so funny. He was trying to rally his liberal cronies and only reinforced the idea that the left despises the military.
The original quote in my header is a direct paste from CNN.com.
